OAKLAND, Calif. (July 13, 2005) - If you're in Oakland, or anywhere near here, make no mistake: The "Community" in Community Bank of the Bay means YOU.

Brian Garrett, president of Community Bank of the Bay, said Wednesday, "Some other banks in the region, that are owned out-of-state, recently announced that they are changing their names to call themselves "Community Banks" in order to appear more local. But they are simply not from around here."
